I Thought I Would Never See The Day, But I Did

Hello everyone. Well today has been just a wonderful day. It was the day that was scheduled for the court hearing for the motion to modify the parenting time schedule to reflect a standardized schedule for holiday parenting time.
Now that there is a court order to this effect in effect with specific dates and times any noncompliance will be considered a contempt of court.
In case you are interested in a play by play for today’s events, it went something like this.
We both arrived at the 6th floor of the courthouse at about the same time. I was by myself and she had her sister in law and her child abusing brother Jared with her.
We checked in at the FOC office at the north side of the building she was only a few people behind me in line. After that her and the sister in law and the child abusing brother Jared, went to the south side of the floor where they tried to talk with somebody who could get their court date for the 13th changed. I couldn’t help but look over at them and laugh.
There were a couple of reasons for my laughter. First there were probably over 180 people on the floor for one side or the other, which meant that she could never be in both places at the same time. Second, I have tried to get one of those show cause hearings postponed before and it would be easier to fly to the moon without a space ship.
Anyway she didn’t do so well at her first attempt at doing this and ended up on the north side for the hearing first.
The hearing was before a referee but not any that we have seen before, fresh blood to our case which meant that it could have went any way. However this referee was very good at her job. She studied the file for a few minutes and then asked me what I wanted to do. After I told her, she turned to the X wifey and listened to her whine and complain about why she didn’t want me to have holiday parenting time.
She went into her big crying thing that she does everytime she has an issue and she even brought up the fact that she was 6 months pregnant and that I was only doing this to get her to run back and forth between Ohio and Michigan for court. The referee wasn’t buying it.
Well needless to say it went very well for me at this hearing and I received almost everything that I asked for minus a half a day.
After the hearing was over she stomped out of the room and proceeded to the south side of the floor once again to try for the change. Again I just looked and laughed as I waited for the elevator.
After I returned home I called up Karen Nelson at the Macomb County Friend of the Court to see if the X wifey had gotten her wish. She said no that the date was still on and that I would have to appear as well.
From what I am to understand is that they want to place her in jail for a few days just to show her that she can’t do this stuff. I mentioned that she was 6 months pregnant to which they replied that there were a lot of pregnant women in jail, besides it would only be for less than 45 days.
Either way it goes I guess we will have to wait til Wednesday to know for sure.
Also I suppose that if I wanted to I could always make another complaint or two just to get her back into court, they are legitimate complaints and I do still have some time left to complain about them and it would be another contempt charge against her, but I will save them til I see what happens on the 13th.
Thanks for dropping by
