The Parents for Children Scam

Hello everybody. Most of the people that visit these pages are fully aware that I have no problem exposing corrupt people and or groups that are intentionally taking your money under the guise of whats in the best interest of the children.

I also have no problem in admitting when I am wrong about something. In this particular case I was very extremely wrong to think that the group Parents for Children had honorable intentions, they don’t.

Populus caveo which is latin for People Beware applies to this group as well as for the lawyer that they are advertising for, Janet Frederick-Wilson.

In June of 2006 I unfortunately stumbled upon this group’s webpage. Since they were a local group to me, I felt compelled to locate them even though their webpage had not been updated for several years.

On the surface they seemed like a group that was on the up and up, but as time would surely tell they are just as corrupt as the judges and the rest of the system which they claim to be fighting.

The groups owner Dan Wilson talks a real good game, but his objective is to gain clients for his attorney wife Janet Frederick-Wilson.

I know that everybody has to make a living and I don’t have a problem with that, but if this is what you are doing, you must at least be honest about it. Also if this is what you are doing, you shouldn’t take advantage of the people that are honestly trying to help you.

Almost every photo concerning this group that you see either on my blog or on their website is a staged photo. PfC has also requested that other groups take photos of at least six or eight people holding the green parents for children picket signs on the steps of the courthouses in their state in exchange for information about people that have been to the parents for children website.

This is what is also known as The Bait. It’s sole purpose is to make you believe that they are really out there picketing in as many counties as possible, which they are not doing.

The idea behind this is to make you think that they have support in your area as well as to advertise their webpage so that they can get more clients for the attorney/wife.

As I said earlier this wouldn’t be all that bad, because everybody has to make a living. However if the attorney/wife and the group are taking advantage of their clients, then this type of behavior is unacceptable.

Unfortunately there is no way of regulating the amount that a good lawyer can charge compared to a not so good lawyer. If a not so good of a lawyer can con you into thinking that she is worth say $250.00 per hour when in reality she is only worth $100.00 per hour then that is your fault. And when an attorney tells you that it should only take about $3000.00 providing we don’t have to go to trial and then charges you $250.00 per hour times 10 hours for travel time which uses up all of your money, that’s a scam. They shouldn’t have taken the case in the first place, you could have gotten somebody locally. When they transport picketers to picket for your court date, which is free advertising for them they shouldn’t charge you for travel time either.

Lawyers are suppose be in contact with their clients, but when they are not, and when they don’t follow your wishes but do what they feel is right for your case, there is no meeting of the minds and therefore no contract. In Michigan as well as other states you can always complain about your attorney to the Attorney Grievance Committee, who knows you may even be able to get back some of your money that you already paid them.

The bottom line of this post is that parents for children is a scam. If you or anybody that you know has been taken by this group or Janet Frederick-Wilson and have verifiable proof such as cancelled checks or case numbers please contact me . In the mean time please spread the word so that we can help others before the crime begins.
